*FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD FAITH*

Romans 4:2. For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.  3. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

As we continue to look at the issue of justification without works we find the above verse which most people misinterpret  meaning Christians do no need good works for heaven but grace, it’s a big mistake indeed.

 Now lets see what the above passage means. If we can look at Abraham before his call in Genesis 12 was he circumcised? Was he righteous? Was he a Jew? No, these are the works the passage is talking about that Abraham would glory [boast] about his connection to God. But we will see that he had no qualifications whatsoever according to this:

Joshua 24:2. And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.  3. And I took[not according to works - grace] your father Abraham from the other side of the flood and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

  

As we can see Abraham was not called by God because of his righteousness but by grace. He was not circumcised, or fearing God(as he was a worshiper of idols) neither was he a Jew , but the grace of God just singled him out among his relatives[ election of grace ] but  afterwards he had to obey the God who called him to remain in a good relationship with him by offering his only son as a sacrifice.

 The same applies to us today.

Romans 11:5. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.  6. And if by grace, then is it no more of works[ not because you are a Jew or circumcised): otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

 For us to know God and be born again its not because we were qualified anyhow but it’s the grace [free gift] of God that called you and me out of our sins freely to his marvelous light so that we should be the children of light.

 No person can be born again on their own no matter how willing they might be if the grace of God has not located them and pulled them to him(this is the salvation Paul talks about salvation by grace not by works: being a Jew or circumcised.) Yes, others no matter how you can preach to them they can never turn away from their sin until they die in sins because the grace of God unto repentance has not fallen on them.

 It is God who call[now calling its not making heaven because we see in Mathews 22: 14. For many are called, but few are chosen.] people to be his children not based on their works or qualification but by his own will as its indicated here:

John 6:44. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him[grace: not according to works]: and I will raise him up at the last day.

And here:

Romans 9:15. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy[grace ], and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Is this mercy  according to our works? Now it was faith that made Abraham to leave his home country and follow the God he never knew before and we know that it was counted to him for righteousness[salvation] but afterwards he had to backup his faith in God by good  works of obedient[holiness] to the voice of God otherwise his faith in God would be in vain and he would  not still keep his relationship with God if he did not obey Gods voice as indicated here:

James2:21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  22. Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Can you see now that it is indeed faith that justified Abraham because he believed in God and followed him leaving his parents but he had to have works of holiness[obedient to the word of God] to be a friend of God and remain with God? 

What could happen if Abraham could just believe in God and then afterwards be disobedient to Gods commands and never offered his son? Would he be a friend God? No! So, faith coupled with good works is what perfects salvation for one to make heaven. 

We also are called by his grace and when we become born again we had faith in Christ  and it was counted to us for righteousness[as to Abraham] according to Romans 10:10.

 Then after that for us to remain with God we need works[holiness- obedience to the whole word of God] to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice and crucify it and it's lusts with Christ on the cross leaving all our sins that we love most as Abraham loved Isaac most( but was ready to offer him to God) and obey his voice  to make heaven otherwise our faith that saved us is in vain as you can see here:

James 2:19. Thou believest [faith] that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  20. *But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?*  

If you just believe in your receiving of Christ [faith] as the whole salvation that will make you enter heaven and ignore the works of holiness afterwards then you are dead and back to a sinner because your faith in  Christ cannot make you enter heaven if you don’t continue to obey[works] the word after wards!

 You believed in Christ to be born again, you did well but demons also believes that there is God and they also confess it as you did[ that is salvation according to Romans 10:9-10] but will demons make heaven because they believe and tremble[and may be you don’t tremble] that there is God and they confess him? No way! why?

Because they lack good works! So if you just say  that what saves me is faith in Christ my works doesn’t matter what differentiates you with demons? Do you think only faith in Christ will make you enter heaven without works of holiness after your confession of Christ? Don’t be cheated. We were called not according to or works but heaven we shall enter because of works[according to Revelations 20:12] of holiness that’s why fools who ignore works after repentance will be denied entery into heaven and they will be asking Jesus why. 

Its because they thought confession of Christ alone will enable them make heaven but they will be surprised that they will be denied because they ignored holiness after their being born again and will not be allowed to enter there:

Mathews7: 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, [this is salvation according to Romans 10:9- if thou shall confess with your mouth Lord  Jesus]shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth[works] the will of my Father which is in heaven.  22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity[ disobedience- lack of works].

Did you see what Christ said here?

 You were saved because you confessed him as Lord but he says thats not all we need to make heaven! 

Not everyone who says Lord Lord will enter heaven but he that doeth[works] the will of God.

 Do you see it you who say don’t single out sins for me to stop them what matters is that I have Christ? Do you see that others will be perfoming miracles but because they ignored holiness[works] Jesus will profess that I don’t know you? 

Do you think they will tell Jesus that we did miracles in your name when they were not born again? Will they not be baptized in the holy ghost? They will ,and will not lie to Jesus that they were perfoming miracles in his name when they were using diabolic powers, they will be using the  real name of Jesus that's why they will have confidence to claim this before Christ! They will be born again indeed but will be the foolish virgins who just believed in their beig brides[born again] and ignore taking extra oil[works ] .Did they enter with the bridegroom? No!

Finally we  who confessed Christ must wakeup from our slumber! Never be cheated that all you needed was faith in Christ what you do afterwards  doesn’t matter! Once saved always saved is a demonic teaching! It matters that’s why you are a Christian not a non believer to be a possessor of good works of holiness!

 Look at these examples

1.All the Israelites came out of Egypt [ saved] but did all of them enter Cannan? No! Who did? Those who obeyed the word of God: Joshua and caleb. Was their salvation from egypt all they needed to enter caanan? No obedience[works]

2. lot and his family were saved from Sodom and Gomorrah. Did all escape death? No! lots wife did not . why? Disobedience[ ignored works]. Was their salvation from Gomorrah an assurance af life? No!  Obedience to do not look back[works]

So if you know all these but still just believes in your confession of Christ as all you need to make heaven are you wise?  What do we need? faith in Christ [born again] and obedience [works] to the whole word of God to make heaven!
