ART OF GOD CHASTENING -- IT'S PURPOSE!

BIBLE TEXT: The Book of Job & Hebrews 5:8

TOPIC: ART OF GOD CHASTENING -- IT'S PURPOSE!

           Job 5:17-18

INTRODUCTION:

"If they sin against thee, (For there is no man which sinneth not,) and be thou angry with them, and deliver them over there enemies,...." 2Chronicles 6:36

".....But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD." 2Samuel 11:27b

"....And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

David therefore besought God for the child and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth" 2Samuel 12:15b-16

"...: and she bear a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD." 2Samuel 12:24b-25

BODY:

"And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which correct us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." Hebrews 12:5-11

Never try to follow David pathway, though he was forgiven, but what of:

* God judgment sword? 2Samuel 12:10

* The Evil that befell his family? 2Samuel 12:11

* What about the Death of "Ammon, Absalom, and Adonijah", Tamar was defiled by her stepbrother, and who knows what happened after ----- if it leads into Pregnancy and Child, or Not?

Never dares what David put himself, into!

Generally, God chastened His Heir from, His Heart of;

#Love for them

#Redemptive Corrective Attitudes

#Restoration

#Safety from Evil, due to the hedge of protection had been broken. And God uses His Chastened to Mend it unto Closing The Opened Shield.

CONCLUSION:

" If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

If they break my statues, and keep not my commandments;

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strips." Psalms 89:30-32.

If God chastised you, please endure it, its for your own good and future safety.

Please, don't opt out of His Chastened.

Adam & Eve, just couldn't tell us how life was after they've packed-out from God Garden of Eden.

Please, don't leave yours!

PRAYER:

*God, don't fail to chastise me, please!

*God, call me back with Thy Love Hand of Discipline

*God, thank You for Thy Caring Heart over me.
